I read The Godfather when I was a teenager too, my siblings were much older and their version of babysitting was “read this book and tell me what it’s about”. girl… my lil butt was reading Iceberg Slim in the 2nd grade…. That is just trifling and I should have told Mama and Daddy….
Oh, I see we finna have a book club up in this joint!
The Moneychangers is on Kindle Unlimited, so I just downloaded it. I love both Queen of the South and La Reina del Sur, the telenovela it is based on. Let me find the book!
I have the Wolf of Wall Street on iBook, but I can’t get it on my Kindle, which is pissing me off because I don’t have an ipad anymore. I think I’ll just repurchase it because I definitely want to read it.
Do you have a library card? If so download the Libby Software, it’s kindle and it’s free and then you can read Wolf of Wall Street on your phone or laptop. Yes on book club!!!
You know what? I have been meaning to download that and haven't. I also have to go pick up a new library card. I'm going to do both tomorrow. I love you for all of this. Seriously.
As for Bret, I recommend starting with Less Than Zero, then American Psycho, then The Rules of Attraction. There’s some character crossover in those three, but if you read them in that order, it will make more sense when the people are mentioned. All his books are good, however.
Less Than Zero is a hood movie to watch with your nephew and to give him “the talk” about how easy it is to get caught up. Watched it with all my nieces, nephews and my kid. And ordering all three now! And have you read Emperor of Ocean Park? It’s so damn good, if not please read it! Better than the tv show, much better!

Love you too for all this, and yeah, the Library is very stingy re sharing all the available resources, an old person hipped me to Libby!
Libby also has audiobooks too, right?
Yes, ma’am and magazines!
Oh, I’m excited.
Don’t you have titles? What’s the isbn’s? I want to put them in my e-retail store!
I do not have titles yet. Soon come, sis. Soon come.
Well, I will make it a point to motivate you once per quarter, curse me out if you wish, but I bet I will get you to print!
