I've learned that I do much better on limited/no caffeine and Vyvanse for the ADHD. Maybe one cup of regular coffee per day max, in the morning and not later.

Caffeine is probably not helping me much, but he ain’t never cheated on me, so I’mma stand by him.

Random question: do you know of any good black publication out there that's as good as The Root used to be? Something smart and funny? I miss the old Root.

My mom was a big reader & she would keep different books in different places around the house so she could read multiple books at a time. This was pre-e-book/Libby, however.

Parable of the Sower was so good and prescient; the second book was heartbreaking. Kindred is on my Libby wishlist/TBR.

You are going to thoroughly enjoy Kindred. I’m going to revisit it after I finish the Earthseed series.

I have always marveled at the pace that Anitra reads!

Hey man. Reading 6 books at once is slow-going lol. I think this is how my neurospiciness manifests; mileage may vary. Yes everyone is obsessed with Aaron Pierre and did Aubrey ever *stop* crashing out?

Aubrey never stopped crashing out. You are absolutely correct about that.

I can still see a use for having multiple books going, and while I likely won’t have six going at once, as I move into reading more and consuming less social media and streaming, I will probably have more than one book going at once because there are some topics I want to research and learn about in addition to reading my usual pleasure fiction.

"there are some topics I want to research and learn about in addition to reading my usual pleasure fiction..." I think that's the thing. Sometimes I have to stop and digest some of the heavier stuff I'm reading, and read something fluffier in between. That's why it takes awhile. Some of the 6 books on my current list, I've been reading over a course of months.

Yeah, and I also like to take notes when reading and highlight stuff, etc, so it can be a process. I totally get what you mean.
