computer keyboard shortcuts + high, y'all + Aces Season Tickets + work

My work computer is a MacBook. I play The Sims on an HP laptop. I do most of my personal business on an HP Chromebook. I love all three dearly, but the different keyboard shortcut combinations have me in a tizzy because what works on one computer doesn’t work on the other, and trying to keep them all straight is an exercise in futility, so I usually end up using the wrong keyboard shortcut on the wrong computer multiple times a day.

It happened just now, which is why I typed all of that out.

I’m higher than a top hat on a giraffe right now, if that gives you any indication of how my Friday night is going.

I am officially a Las Vegas Aces Season Ticket Holder. I’m so excited about it, I told the nice woman who called to assist me with my purchase that I would refrain from screaming until after we were done with the call. She thought that was funny, but she was also happy I was excited, and so was my seatmate, who I patched into the call (with the woman’s permission) so we could pick our seats together.

There’s 1 preseason game, 22 regular season games, and first dibs on playoff tickets included with this, and I honestly don’t have the words to tell you how happy I am about this. It made my entire week. Go me!

I’m building my rhythm in my new role. I have a solid squad I can depend on to crank out the hits, and I lean heavily into my freelancer rolodex to fill in the gaps. Not every day is a roaring success, but I haven’t had any fails, and I don’t plan on any either.

I’m holding myself to my own standards, and I’ve set them high.

The only person I’m competing with is me.

So each day, I’m working to be a little bit better than I was the day before.

It’s working.

Miscellaneous:

• I watched the first episode of Power Book IV: Force, and, chile, did they even have a script, or did they improvise the entire episode? I really need to know.

• I have four pairs of overalls right now. Overalls are making a comeback, and your girl loves overalls, so here we are. It’s overalls season.
