Substack indeed does a revenue share with liars, cheats, and thieves. Many of those are the racists, dis- and misinformation spouters, antisemites, misogynists, hate speech enthusiasts.
Alternatives to Substack: Ghost, closer in style to a blogging platform, snd beehiiv (yes, that’s how it’s spelled), very similar to Substack. Migration support exists for both.

I feel the exact same way. I really like Substack, but these things are a bit disturbing. I suppose none of these apps are totally clean, so my question is when do we make exceptions, and when do we move on?

everyday I hate learning how right-leaning Substack can be because I genuinely love using this app for my little silly/serious thoughts
