Spring forward?
The yearly spring time change is annoying AF
Daylight savings time is some bullshit.
Don’t get me wrong; I love that it will now start getting dark later and later each day until November, but the whole losing an hour thing fucks me up every single time.
Today was no exception.
I was up late reading (more on that later), so I didn’t get to sleep until well after midnight. I woke up at like 5 a.m. because I had to pee, and it felt like I had not been asleep at all; I swear.
Even Lady was like, “fuck this shit,” so we went back to sleep. When we woke up again, it was after 11, which means it was really just after 10, and I felt completely unrested.
I have been dragging all day. I’m going to attempt to go to sleep at a decent hour tonight so the dragging can stop before tomorrow, but sheesh! I’m tired.
I finished “Before I Let Go” last night, and I rate it 5/5. I’ll do a more detailed review later, but let me say once again that I highly recommend it. I found myself holding my breath at certain points and feeling all the emotions of the main characters at others. It is a beautiful depiction of what can happen when people let their walls down, do the work, and allow themselves to be vulnerable enough to be loved wholly and openly.
I’ve already started and am 30 percent through the second book in the series, “This Could Be Us,” and it is proving to be just as good as the first book. I’ve been doing more reading than anything today because there’s nothing like a good book to escape into when your mind won’t focus enough to do anything else.
I purposely didn’t have coffee today since I got up so late, and hopefully that will play a part in me being able to get to sleep tonight.

I’m not one of those people that is completely dialed in for gossip about the royal family, but this Kate Middleton … scandal? mystery? whatever, has my attention, especially after this latest drama behind the photo of her they posted today.
But I also like that actual photographers have come out to point out what’s wrong with the obviously AI-generated photography.
On the real though, where is Kate Middleton? If the royal family is going to all this trouble to fake photos and such, where is she?
I was rooting for everybody Black at the Oscars this year.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for “The Holdovers,” a film I’ve not yet watched but am now adding to my to-be-watched (TBW from now on) list. It’s on Peacock, if you are a subscriber.
I’m mad Sterling K. Brown didn’t win. He deserves. No matter what he plays in, he absolutely EATS, and we are beyond past due for giving this man his flowers.
I was rooting for Jeffrey Wright. I have always loved him as an actor. Like Sterling, he has definitely studied his craft. I knew they were going to give the award to Cillian Murphy, though. That’s just how this shit works.
