Happy New Year!
We are officially in 2025, and I’m still trying to wrap my mind around how fast 2024 went by.
Let’s also acknowledge that today is the second anniversary of this blog.
It’s funny because when the Facebook memories showed up today marking that anniversary, I kept thinking it had only been a year, and then I realized the posts were from 2023, and my mind was blown.
Again, this is how much of a blur 2024 was. It’s almost as if we are still in it.
This is the remix.
Since this is the remix of 2024, it means it’s an opportunity for me to do the things I did not get to accomplish in 2024 — both personally and professionally.
I’m not big on making New Year’s resolutions, but I am big on setting goals and mapping out all the little steps that will help me achieve them.
The first keyword for me this year is intention. I want to be intentional about everything — my writing (again, both personal and professional), my relationships, my extracurricular activities — everything.
The other keyword is planning. I know that starting each day with a roadmap will help me get more things done, and that will help me get to where I want to be.
I slacked off on bullet journaling last year, and honestly, it’s reflected in what I did the second half of the year. Everything was a mess because I had a lot going on, and while my ADHD brain can function in pure chaos and missed deadlines, chaos and missed deadlines don’t help with my anxiety.
My brain is spicy as fuck, yo, so I have to create strategies for myself that help me manage my time better, allowing for all the little distractions that come along the way while making sure I get shit done.
It’s a process, but I remain dedicated to perfecting it.
I added the free version of the Grammarly extension to my Chrome browser because fast typing and my brain moving at 100 miles per hour means I make a lot of typos and sometimes type one word when I meant to use another.
Consider that step 1 in my process of making 2025 better than 2024.
Miscellaneous
I watched the latest season of Virgin River, and I have so many thoughts. Let’s get into it in my chat.
I watched Carry-On earlier this week, and I enjoyed it immensely.
Here is where I admit I’d watch Jason Bateman recite the alphabet for 2 hours, so there’s that. I love him so much.
I don’t want them to ban TikTok if it means I’m going to miss out on shit like this video where a young woman says Tubi is basically the Hallmark Channel for niggas.
Stay tuned for another big announcement tomorrow!
I feel similarly! We got this!!
